ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Child Fatality Review is Crucial to Keeping our Kids Healthy and Safe

Children are not supposed to die.  The death of a child has a profound impact, not only on that child’s family, but also friends, neighbors and members of the community.  In Indiana, injury is the leading cause of death for children ages 1-17 years, and tragically, most of these deaths could have been prevented.

The conference will provide meaningful education and interaction with national and local experts on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), child maltreatment, injury prevention, addressing the Opioid epidemic, coalition building, and the issues affecting our communities. We will highlight the need for partnership building, identifying champions in our local communities and development of sustainable action plans to prevent child injury and death, and keep our kids healthy and safe.
